Luca Barbi

Luca Barbi is a General Partner and COO at STV, the largest technology venture capital fund in MENA with over $1.2 billion in AUM. Since joining in 2019, he has led the firm’s development initiatives, authored the STV Insight Reports, and contributed to over 40 investment decisions as a member of the investment committee. He also serves on the boards of several portfolio companies.

Prior to STV, Luca spent over 15 years in management consulting and transaction advisory across Europe and the Middle East. He was a Principal at BCG in its Middle East offices, where he advised sovereign wealth funds and private equity firms on investments and helped companies design and implement growth strategies. He also worked at BCG Milan and in PwC’s Transaction Services division in Milan.

Luca holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, a Master’s in Merchant Banking from LIUC University, and a BA in Finance and Economics from Bologna University.
