Mahesh leads IIGCC’s Investor Strategies programme which works on integrating climate change considerations into investors’ portfolios across all asset classes. The team helped found the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative and leads development of Net Zero Investment Framework, the most widely used target and transition plan guidance for investors committed to net zero. His team also works on scaling private finance for adaptation and resilience and integrating nature and a just transition into climate goals. He is currently co-chair of the UN Climate Champions Sharm Adaptation Agenda Finance Taskforce. This work builds on an 18-year career in Banking and Finance, predominately at Macquarie Group where he led specialist teams in Financial Services and Healthcare. He holds an MBA, Energy from Cranfield University.
