Profile
Sam is Co-Head, Energy Transition and Partner of NGP and concentrates on NGP’s investment activity within the energy transition. He focuses his efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis and execution, as well as the monitoring of active portfolios. Sam is also a member of the NGP Investment Committee and the former Chair of the NGP ESG Committee. He joined NGP in 2011.
Prior to joining NGP, Sam was an Investment Banking Analyst with Madison Williams and Company’s Energy Investment Banking Group in Houston, where he focused on financing and merger and acquisition transactions in the oil and gas industry.
Sam received a B.B.A. and M.P.A. in Accounting, summa cum laude, from The University of Texas at Austin in 2010. He received an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2016.
