Richard Braakenburg is Co-Chief Investment Officer at SUSI Partners, where he is responsible for shaping and executing the firm’s overall investment strategy and overseeing portfolio management across its OECD Equity strategy. Since joining SUSI in 2020, Richard has led the development of the firm’s dedicated energy storage platform and assumed leadership of the broader OECD equity business in 2021. He was appointed Co-CIO in 2023.
Richard brings over 20 years of experience across sustainable infrastructure, renewable energy, and capital markets. Prior to SUSI, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Pivot Power and held senior leadership roles at Macquarie’s Green Investment Group, focusing on distributed energy and onshore renewables. His earlier career includes positions at the UK’s Department of Energy and Climate Change and J.P. Morgan.
Richard holds a BA from Yale University and an MBA from London Business School.
