Chris McConnachie serves as CFO – New York at National Grid, a Global Utility business serving seven million Gas and Electric customers in the US. Chris joined National Grid in 2008 occupying several Treasury roles before moving to the US in 2012 to guide the US function through their Global Treasury Systems Implementation. From 2013 to

2015, Chris was Treasurer of the company’s US business and NY Controller. In 2017, Chris led the transformation of US Business Services consolidating fleet, accounting operations, billing and collections, and employee services into one center of excellence, before starting in his current role as CFO in 2021.

Chris is a Board Member of British American Business, a leading transatlantic trade association. Having studied both in the US and UK, Chris holds a BA (Hons) in Economics and Politics, and an MSc Economics (Finance). He is also a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers and currently resides in Ridgefield, CT, with his family.
