Mark Freyman brings more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry, focused primarily on energy transition. Throughout his career, Mark has worked across the energy value chain as a wind developer, a buy-side asset investor and, most recently as an executive at Smart Wires, an electric transmission technology provider. As Chief Commercial Officer at Smart Wires, Mark was responsible for revenue growth across four continents leading to a Smart Wires public offering.
Prior to Smart Wires, Mark led the Renewable Power Group at Chevron Corporation investing as tax equity in wind, solar and geothermal assets. He was responsible for all aspects of the investment process from sourcing to exit, deploying more than $500M.
Mark holds a BBA in finance (with distinction) from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Harvard Business School. A self-described behavioral economics geek, Mark lives in San Francisco with his wife, two children and the world’s laziest dog.
