Shaia Hosseinzadeh is the Founder and Managing Partner of OnyxPoint Global Management where he oversees the Firm’s investment activities. For over two decades, Mr. Hosseinzadeh has served in various roles in the commodities markets with a primary focus on private equity, complex credit and restructuring transactions.

Since its formation in 2017, OnyxPoint has deployed over $1.5 billion of capital into over 43 companies across the entire energy value chain. Prior to forming OnyxPoint in 2017, Mr. Hosseinzadeh was the Global Head of Energy and Natural Resources at WL Ross & Co where he also served as the lead member of its Investment Committee for the firm’s commodities investments. Previously, Mr. Hosseinzadeh was employed by Apollo Global Management in New York. Prior to that, Mr. Hosseinzadeh worked in the Investment Banking Group at Credit Suisse First Boston.

In addition to serving on the board of the firm’s portfolio companies, Mr. Hosseinzadeh is a member of the Energy Security Task Force at the Brookings Institution, the Economic Club of New York and he also serves as a sustaining board member of Youth Inc., a non‐for‐profit venture philanthropy organization focused on education.

Mr. Hosseinzadeh graduated with honors from the London School of Economics & Political Science with an MSc in Economics and Philosophy and a BSc in Economics.
