Based in Stockholm, Aleksandra Holmlund is CEO of Qarlbo Biodiversity, a nature-positive forestry investment firm backed by the family office of Conni Jonsson (EQT).
A forester by training with more than 30 years of experience managing timberland across Europe and the Americas, Aleksandra leads Qarlbo’s investment strategy and the deployment of its Nature+® Forest Management framework—an approach that integrates sustainable wood production with biodiversity regeneration and carbon sequestration.
She played a key role in developing the methodology behind the Global Biocredit Standard, which underpins the first voluntary biodiversity credit transactions in Europe and the U.S. Aleksandra began her career in forestry operations, later holding senior roles at GreenGold and IKEA Group, and continues to serve as a Task Force member of the UN-affiliated Biodiversity Credit Alliance.
She holds degrees an MSc in forestry and a Licentiate of philosophy from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics.
