Dale oversees investment operations and portfolio performance for the Family Office’s direct technology investments. He is a voting member of the Investment Committee that has been instrumental in building a portfolio of 18 companies across six technology focus areas: Quantum, AI, Advanced Materials, Energy Generation & Storage, Cybersecurity, and Semiconductors & Microelectronics. Dale also serves as the representative on a number of portfolio company boards where he leverages many decades of collective experience, and his own operational leadership experience across dynamic commercial organizations to mentor portfolio company leaders and guide business growth and change. He first joined the Family Principal, Damian Perl, in 2006 at his business Global Strategies Group, initially to lead its Middle East operating division, headquartered in the UAE, managing a P&L of over $300M annual revenue and engaged in complex international defense & security operations to include sensitive projects on behalf of the UAE. Dale then moved through a succession of key senior roles in the group, including President of its North American services business and Board Member of its tech enabled Integrated Security line, culminating in his role as CEO of another group company GDEF (NASDAQ) where, supporting Damian, he helped take that company through its equity fund raise, IPO and subsequent M&A. A former Marine Counterintelligence Officer, Dale holds a BA in Electrical Engineering from VMI and a Masters in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School.
