Sam Goodman is a Managing Director at Five Points Family Ventures, where he sources, evaluates, negotiates and monitors investments on behalf of Five Points Family Ventures’ principals and affiliated operating companies. Prior to joining Five Points Family Ventures, Sam was a member of the Corporate & Transactional team at the international law firm of McDermott Will & Emery, where he focused his practice on mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate advisory matters, primarily representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies. He began his legal career in the Corporate and Securities group at Greenberg Traurig. Sam also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law, where he teaches an advanced course on transaction skills.

Sam earned his B.S. in Business Administration and M.A. in International Business from the University of Florida. He received his J.D. summa cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law.

Sam currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Mid-Atlantic Finance Company and as a Board member of TICE Chicken Holdings.
