As a CIO of a single-family office, Svetlana is responsible for the overall performance of a global, institutional size investment portfolio that spans across various asset classes. The family has been an early adopter of alternative investments, with the first allocations dating back to the late 1980s.
Prior to joining Ridama, Svetlana spent nearly four years with Clearstead Advisors, LLC, an institutional consulting and private wealth management company. There, she led the Investment Office overseeing asset allocation, conducting investment manager due diligence and market research, producing relevant newsletters and whitepapers, and working closely with Institutional Consulting and Private Client Groups to create value for clients’ portfolios.
Before joining Clearstead Svetlana spent 19 years working in a family office space. She started her career as petroleum engineer and worked in a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, commercial, and mortgage banking. Her broad international business experience brings depth and expertise to research and diligence of fund managers and underlying portfolio companies.
Svetlana is a CFA charterholder. She earned her MBA from Southern Methodist University where she was a recipient of the US AID fellowship. She received a BS in Petroleum Engineering and Economics summa cum laude from the Gubkin State University of Oil in Gas in Moscow. She currently serves on the SMU Cox School of Business Executive Board, the Board of Directors of the Cleveland Institute of Art, and the Finance Committee of the Cleveland Racquet Club
