Lee McCabeManaging Partner at Claymore PartnersSpeaker
Profile
Lee McCabe builds growth the unglamorous way: fix the data, instrument the funnel, assign owners, and ship changes weekly. He’s a private equity operating partner and growth leader with 25+ years across big tech, marketplaces, and PE-backed portfolios, where strategy only matters if it shows up in the numbers.
He’s the Founder of Claymore Partners, a value-creation firm built for private equity-backed businesses that need a real commercial engine: customer journey, measurement, speed-to-lead, conversion, and execution, without the agency theatre.
Previously, Lee was an Operating Partner at AEA Investors, leading digital and commercial value creation across a 45-company portfolio. Before PE, he held senior leadership roles at Alibaba (Head of North America) and Facebook (built the global travel advertising vertical, later expanding into education and services). At Expedia, he led market management across Asia Pacific and North America, driving commercial growth across regions and scaling performance in complex, multi-market environments. He started his career at eBay, joining early and playing a fundamental role in driving the company’s international growth.
He holds an MBA from Warwick Business School and an MA from Sheffield Hallam University.
