Profile

Grégoire Déchy is a seasoned investment professional with over two decades of experience across hedge funds, private equity, private credit, and prime brokerage.

Currently based in Hong Kong, he acts as a Senior Advisor to bfinance, supporting asset owners in Hong Kong, France, and Switzerland with investment strategy implementation, manager selection, and portfolio design. His advisory work is informed by a global perspective and a pragmatic approach to aligning institutional rigor with client objectives.

Previously, Grégoire held senior roles at SAIF Partners and SPQ Asia Capital, where he raised over USD 500 million across private equity and long-short equity strategies. As COO and Responsible Officer, he oversaw investor relations, portfolio risk management, and legal negotiations, while managing a team of ten and cultivating relationships with top-tier institutions and family offices. Earlier, he co-founded two hedge fund platforms in Hong Kong, launching Asia-focused macro and event-driven strategies with capital from seasoned managers.

His foundational experience was shaped at Société Générale Corporate & Investment Bank, where he spent a decade between London and Hong Kong. He led investor coverage and prime brokerage origination across APAC, launching platforms and structuring mandates for hedge funds and asset managers. His early work at Newedge Broker laid the groundwork for multi-asset prime brokerage innovation, including FX clearing and equity CFDs.

Grégoire holds an MBA in Finance from HEC Paris, with an exchange at NYU Stern, and a Diplôme d’ingénieur from ESTP Paris. He also earned a Master of Science from the University of Birmingham.
