Kanchan Jain is the Head of Ascertis Credit Group, one of Asia’s leading private credit platforms. With over 31 years of experience across corporate and structured finance, private credit, loan markets, and debt capital markets in Europe and Asia, she has deep expertise in origination, structuring, underwriting, and risk management. Having lived and worked across the UK and Asia through multiple market cycles, Kanchan brings a strong global perspective to regional growth opportunities.

Before returning to India in 2008, Kanchan spent more than a decade in London as Managing Director at HSBC and earlier as Director at Barclays Capital in Structured Credit. Earlier in her career, she gained extensive experience in Asian and Indian credit markets, living and working in Hong Kong and India.

Kanchan serves as Co Chair of the SVCA Private Credit Committee, Executive Committee Member and Co Chair of the Private Credit Council at IVCA and sits on the Board of IIM Calcutta Innovation Park. A frequent speaker at global forums Bloomberg India Credit Forum and various Private Debt Investor forums, she champions the role of private credit in providing non dilutive capital to high growth mid market corporates and delivering attractive returns and access to Asia’s high growth markets for institutional investors.
