Nick is the Managing Director of Wingate, responsible for driving growth, strategy and the direction of the business as well as on building and enhancing relationships with investors and borrowers. Nick is a highly regarded commercial real estate and finance expert with more than 35 years of financial services industry experience and an extensive track record in alternative credit. Nick joined Wingate in 2021. Prior to that Nick was the Founder and Managing Director of CapStra, a leading independent Australian commercial real estate private credit manager and advisory firm. Nick’s extensive experience spans the full range of CRE capital solutions from financing to deal origination, structuring, development expertise and credit underwriting. He has significant international experience with leading global investment banks across Australia and Europe, including as Chairman of Real Estate and Head of Investment Banking Services at Goldman Sachs Australia, and Head of European Real Estate Investment Banking at Citigroup. Nick is a member of the Trustee Board of Directors of the Wingate Investment Partners Trust and of other Wingate Group entities. Nick earned a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Witwatersrand.
