Soo Cheon co-founded SC Lowy in and se Nes as the firm's Chief Investment Officer, overseeing a team of over 30 investment professionals. With a career spanning since 1997, Mr. Lee has extensive experience in private credit, special situations, hard assets, and distressed non-performing loan portfolios across Asia, including China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, and Thailand. He is internationally recognized as an expert in the shipping sector and played a pivotal role in restructuring Korea Line (now Line) and Pan Ocean, orchestrating Korea's first court-approved DIP financing. Prior to founding SC Lowy, Mr. Lee was a Managing Director and Head Of Research and Trading at Deutsche Bank's distressed and strategic investments group for Asia Pacific, a group he co-founded With Mr. Lowy in 1999. Earlier in his career, he was a senior research analyst at Cargill’s Value Investment Group in Singapore. Soo Cheon holds an MBA from the University Of St. Thomas in Minnesota and a US Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
