Jake Walton is Portfolio Manager, Co-Head of European CLOs at Sona Asset Management. He joined Sona in January 2023. Jake has close to 20 years’ experience within the CLO market, 11 years of which were at Rothschild & Co Credit Management where he was a senior member of the portfolio management team that grew out the CLO 2.0 business from its launch to syndicating 13 transactions. Prior to that he ran CLO portfolio analytics at Elgin Capital for the European CLOs under management from 2007 until 2011. His other experience was at ABN AMRO in their Trust and Securitisation business covering a wide variety of ABS products. Jake is also an experienced CLO investor having invested in liabilities across the capital structure. Jake holds a BA in International Politics and History from Keele University.
