John Cantwell is a Senior Private Equity Manager with the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF), the €9bn Sovereign Investment Fund with a mandate to invest on a commercial basis to support economic activity and employment in Ireland that has committed over €1bn to Private Debt funds. John focuses on ISIF’s Financial Services sector investments including direct equity and debt investments in non-bank lenders and Fintech companies and commitments to direct lending funds. John was previously the Deputy Head of the NTMA Banking Unit which managed the restructuring and recapitalisation of the Irish banks. Prior to that he was the Head of Financials Research with NCB Stockbrokers in Dublin. John is a Chartered Accountant with an MBA from University College Dublin
