Marc Preiser

Portfolio Manager, Direct Lending at Fidelity International

Marc Preiser has a wealth of experience in private credit investing, having worked in the industry since 1992. He joined Fidelity in April 2022 as Portfolio Manager for the Direct Lending Fund.

Prior to joining Fidelity, Marc served as Senior Advisor to Next Wave Partners, a lower mid-market private equity firm. He also held the position of Head of European Private Credit for Apollo Global Management, where he led Apollo's entry into European Direct Lending, investing over €3.0 billion across Europe in directly originated middle market investments.

Marc's experience extends to the US, where he was Managing Director and founding team member of MidCap Financial, a currently $25 billion US-based Direct Lending business, owned by Apollo since 2015. He was instrumental in building MidCap's originations and capital markets platforms. He was also with Merrill Lynch Capital as a member of the healthcare team, building the business from scratch to more than €3.0 billion across various healthcare sectors and strategies.

Marc's extensive experience across multiple financial institutions, including BNP Paribas and Credit Lyonnais, has further enriched his expertise in private credit.
