Raj Singh is a media private equity investor, lender, operator, and producer. He has executed over $3 billion in M&A transactions, worked with management teams, underwrote equity and credit opportunities in the media industry, independently financed film and television productions, and has a wealth of experience in the financial aspects of media and entertainment.

Singh is President of Media Capital Technologies (“MCT”), an investment manager formed in partnership with MassMutual, focused on the media and entertainment sectors, including the funding of studio slate co-financings, special situations lending and project finance.

Before MCT, Singh managed a portfolio of IP investments in film and tv (film catalog, book to film rights, production finance) in partnership with a family office.

Prior to that he was at Merced Capital, a distressed/value investor and alternative lender, where he launched and built the firm’s media investment strategy after identifying a capital dislocation in the entertainment finance space. His portfolio was comprised of rotating single picture debt and equity investments, as well as minority investments in public and private media companies.

Before Merced, Singh was an investment associate at leveraged buyout fund Greenbriar Equity Group. He began his career in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch & Co.
