H.E. Ambassador Vladimir Božović has served as Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York since 2023 and was elected President of the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York (SoFC) in July 2026.

Vladimir Božović began his career in 1995 as an intern in law in Belgrade, Serbia, and Milwaukee, USA. In 1997, he established his own practice and opened the Law Office Bozovic. From 2004 to 2007, he served as the Assistant Minister of Interior and Inspector General of the Department of Public Security at the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia. In 2005, he held the position of National Coordinator for Police and Human Rights in Serbia and Montenegro at the Council of Europe.

From April to November 2012, he worked as an Advisor Minister at the Cabinet of the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Serbia. From November 2012 to May 2014, he served as the State Secretary at the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia, overseeing internal control and international cooperation. Subsequently, he held the position of Advisor Minister at the Cabinet of the Minister of Interior from May 2014 until May 2015.

In May 2015, he was appointed Advisor to the President of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, responsible for regional cooperation and relations with church and religious communities. Currently, he serves as the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Montenegro.
