Soraya Darabi is the Founder and Managing Partner of TMV, a global early-stage venture firm with $200 million in AUM that backs innovation reshaping legacy industries.
She built the firm to empower breakthrough entrepreneurs with the capital and go-to-market expertise needed to accelerate growth. To date, she has invested in over 100 startups, including Anthropic, FIGS, Cityblock Health, Kindbody, Ridwell, Hungryroot, Millie Clinic, Mavely, Topline Pro, Freightify, Gimlet Media, and Cloudflare.
Darabi began her career at The New York Times, where she led the company’s early social media strategy, forged partnerships with startups, and launched award-winning campaigns. She later co-founded Foodspotting, named an “App of the Year” by Apple and Wired, and acquired by OpenTable and later Priceline.
She graduated from Georgetown, studied at the Harvard Kennedy School, was named a World Economic Forum “Young Global Leader,” and serves on the Board of Directors of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights.
