Damian Taylor

Managing Director – Head of North America Real Estate, Private Funds Group at UBS Investment Bank

Damian Taylor is a Managing Director and Head of North America Real Estate for the Private Funds Group at UBS. In this role, Damian focuses on institutional capital raising and advisory solutions for real estate owners/operators/sponsors, as well as partnering with UBS Wealth Management to originate, structure and syndicate direct real estate equity transactions to UBS Wealth Management clients.

Damian has an extensive background in real estate, most recently as a Managing Director with Arch Street Capital Advisors, a boutique investment management firm, where he focused on acquisitions, business development and capital formation. While at Arch Street, he led the capital markets expansion efforts into southeast Asia, working with institutional investors and developing new SMAs in the region. Prior to Arch Street, Damian was a Director with CBRE Capital Advisors, the real estate investment banking unit of CBRE, where he focused on cross border investment advisory, institutional capital raising, and general mergers and acquisitions. While at CBRE, he spearheaded the formation of the Investment Advisory Group, which advised foreign capital on direct real estate investments and joint ventures in the US. Prior to CBRE, Damian was an Associate Director in the Real Estate Lodging and Leisure Group of UBS Investment Bank, splitting his time between traditional investment banking activities and institutional capital raising.

Over his career, he has executed numerous real estate finance and capital markets transactions spanning all major property types and geographies in both the public and private markets. Prior to his work in corporate finance and investment banking, Damian worked in real estate development and asset management with Hines and The JBG Companies in Washington DC focusing on office and mixed-use development projects. Damian holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. from Georgia Institute of Technology.
