Jesse Corradi
Associate Portfolio Manager at CalSTRS

Profile

Jesse Corradi is an Associate Portfolio Manager within the Sustainable Investment and Stewardship Strategies (SISS) unit at the California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS), the largest educator-only pension fund in the world.

Jesse is responsible for helping to lead the sustainable private market portfolio to further CalSTRS’ mission to secure the financial future and sustain the trust of California’s educators. Jesse contributes to overseeing the SISS portfolio, which has an opportunistic mandate to pursue investments that are additive to CalSTRS’ total fund with demonstrably positive contributions to a more sustainable global economy. The SISS portfolio invests in climate solutions across three broad risk-return profiles: (1) infrastructure; (2) private credit; and (3) private equity. As of December 31, 2025, the SISS portfolio had committed over $4.93 billion across 34 direct, co-investment, and fund investments spanning the three targeted risk-return profiles.

Previously, Jesse served as head of the financial institutions group at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). Jesse oversaw DFC’s financial institutions investment strategy and portfolio of over $8 billion and was responsible for investing in emerging and frontier markets in line with U.S. development and foreign policy priorities. Before joining DFC, Jesse held positions in government and asset management at USAID’s Development Credit Authority, Closed Loop Partners, the U.S. Department of Energy, 118 Capital, Tower Research Capital, Neuberger Berman, and Lehman Brothers.

Jesse is a term member at the Council on Foreign Relations and a Lecturer in International Business at George Washington University’s School of Business. A Fulbright Scholar, he earned a master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in political science with honors from Amherst College.
