Samm Miller is the Co-Head of Saluda Grade’s CRE platform. In 2025 Ms. Miller joined Saluda Grade with its acquisition of Hillcrest Finance, the firm she co-owned since 2015. In addition to her role at Saluda Grade, Ms. Miller also serves as the co-managing partner for the legacy Hillcrest Finance LLC business; in that role she shares responsibility for Hillcrest portfolios and separate accounts. Ms. Miller has 38 years of experience in owning, operating, investing, managing, and financing commercial real estate. Prior to her role as Co-CEO of Hillcrest, Ms. Miller held senior investment positions at several notable firms, including Managing Director at Rockwood Capital, Global Managing Director at Trammell Crow Company, Managing Partner at Hart Advisers, and Vice President at J.P. Morgan Investment Management, O’Connor Capital Partners, and TIAA-CREF. Over her career she has raised, managed, and/or overseen more than $4 billion of commercial real estate.

Ms. Miller holds a BS in Architecture from The University of Virginia and a MS in Real Estate Investment, Finance, and Development from New York University. She is a Counselor of Real Estate® and member of the Executive Committee, a member of the Pension Real Estate Association, a member of the WX, Inc. Board of Directors. In addition, Ms. Miller is a member of Impart Media’s/Hive Wealth’s Board of Directors, The University of Virginia’s Center for Real Estate and the Built Environment’s Board of Directors, and the Charter School Growth Fund’s Structured Finance Committee.”
