He sits on Boards of Trustees of the National Committee on US China Relations and the Asian Cultural Council. . He is the Principle of Harburg FC, a sports holding company that owns and operates multiple top tier football clubs in Europe and the Middle East. He was a Neubauer Scholar at Tufts University and a Fulbright Scholar at Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
