Deepali joined Speedinvest as a Venture Partner in 2021 and became a full-time Partner in January 2022. Deepali co-leads our Emerging Markets practice and leads our MicroGP investments. Deepali has led Speedinvest’s investments into Surfboard (UK - exited), Fertifa (UK), Saude Bliss (Brazil), and GTXN (Africa). She is also a member of Speedinvest's ESG Committee, leading on the gender side.

Deepali started her career as an investment banker on Wall Street before moving into private equity where she led transactions into financial service companies. She subsequently led operational teams at Marsh McLennan & Aon Ltd. before shifting her focus on supporting female founders. Most recently, she co-founded Alma Angels, a community set up to increase the number of female angel investors in Europe who fund female-founded companies. As an angel, she has invested in and mentored multiple female-founded companies, including PensionBee, Planera, Sano Genetics, Shell Works, SideQuest, Vaayu and Yhangry, among others.

In 2021, Deepali won UKBAA’s Angel Investor of the Year award. She has served on the UK Government Task Force for Funding High-Growth Female Entrepreneurs and the UKBAA Angel Investment Taskforce and was 2024 LinkLaters Woman of the Year.
