Ennis is Founder and Managing Director of the Catalyst MENA Climate Funds (CMCF) since 2006. Since 2006, Ennis has been devoted to climate impact in MENA, beginning with energy/water technology and then climate infrastructure in 2014.
Most recently, after the exit of 90% of the CMCF1 portfolio, and top quartile performance, Catalyst is raising CMCF2 to invest in renewable energy infrastructure, and in energy efficiency/storage, and water treatment.
Previous to moving to Jordan, Ennis was a tech founder and CEO in the US. In 1997 Ennis founded ONEWORLD Software Solutions in Boston, with technology centers in Jordan and China. In 2002, the Jordan entity merged to form Estarta Solutions, with Microsoft and Cisco as investors. Today, Estarta is a 1,000+ person IT infrastructure company based in Jordan, with offices globally.
In 1991, Ennis began his career in Ford Motor Company’s manufacturing leadership programs in the US.
Ennis is a co-founder of an MIT Alumni Association, Jordan’s climate business association, and a member of the WEF YGL and YPO. Ennis serves as a director of Tamweelcom, Ajeej Capital ($1.5+B AUM), and Relational.ai (US).
