Profile
Junaid is the CIO of the Muhaidib Investment Office and has responsibility for both the Family Office as well as for the Financial Investment vertical at Al Muhaidib Group. His investment mandate covers both international private markets as well as local and international public markets.
Junaid moved to the GCC in 2005 to work at the first regional infrastructure fund, the $730m IDB Infrastructure Fund, managed by Emerging Markets Partnership. He was a founding member of Tadhamon Capital in 2009, where he was responsible for all investments and rolled out a successful investment strategy focused on social infrastructure in the UK. He has subsequently worked both on the sell-side and buy-side, advising family offices and clients across the region on capital raising, structuring, creating and building portfolios and asset allocation.
Prior to moving to the region Junaid worked in London at Janus Henderson, Fitch Ratings, JP Morgan and KPMG. Junaid began his career at Smith & Williamson, now Evelyn Partners, where he trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Junaid is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and has an undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Sciences from Middlebury College in Vermont, USA. He is a board member at Seedra Ventures, one of the leading fintech venture capital funds based in Riyadh as well as Sigma Lithium, a Brazilian lithium producer listed on the NASDAQ/TSX.
