Maren Bannon is Co-Founder and Managing Partner at January Ventures, a pre-seed firm investing in B2B startups that are digitally transforming traditional industries, including healthcare, supply chain, manufacturing, energy transition, retail and financial services. January Ventures has invested in over 70 companies to date across the US and Europe.
Maren is an engineer turned operator and entrepreneur. Her career includes leadership roles across marketing, sales, product and pricing at Genentech, Roche, Applied Materials and various startups in Silicon Valley. She also co-founded a startup providing marketing tools to SMBs.
Maren is a regular contributor at Forbes, where she writes about venture capital, and has also written articles in The Financial Times and Quartz. Maren is on the Board of Advisors for StartX, a mentor for Founders at Cambridge University, and a Venture Partner at the Entrepreneurship Lab at London Business School. She has an MBA from Stanford and an Engineering degree from Dartmouth. Maren is based in London, United Kingdom.
