Co-founded Jarir Marketing Co. with his brothers in 1979, and then focused on Jarir Investment, the family o ice, where he led initiatives from1990 until recently. For the past 35 years at Jarir Investment, he has spearheaded asset allocation and manager selection across private equity, long-only, and hedge fund strategies. He also guides second-generation family members and oversees family policy. Alagil is a member of the Investment Committee at Jarir Investment and continues to serve as Non-Executive Chairman of Jarir Marketing.

Alagil speaks at conferences across the GCC on topics including family business, family policy, family business governance, and private equity.

On the philanthropic front, Alagil established the Muhammad Alagil Chair for Arab-Asia Studies at the National University of Singapore and the Rhodes Scholarship for Saudi Arabia at Oxford University, in partnership with Muhammad Alagil.

Currently, as Senior Advisor, he advises Jarir Investment and oversees the Alagil Foundation, which supports high-impact education and health initiatives across Saudi Arabia. Alagil has served on the boards of several Saudi investment companies and currently sits on several philanthropic boards.

Mr. Alagil earned a Masters of Eng. from University of California, Berkley in 1975 and a B.S. in Engineering from KFUPM in 1974. In addition, Mr. Alagil completed the OPM program at Harvard University in 1987.
