Muhannad is the Founding Partner of Olive Rock Partners, one of the first independent Private Equity managers in the GCC, backed by leading regional and international institutional investors (including sovereigns from Saudi and the UAE). Olive Rock Partners focuses on strategic investment opportunities in the GCC, with a primary focus on Saudi Arabia and the UAE. He sits on several corporate and advisory boards regionally.

Prior to this, Muhannad was the Senior Managing Director and IC member at Gulf Capital in Abu Dhabi (14 years total), focusing on Private Equity investments in the GCC and Egypt (c. USD 1.5 billion of Private Equity funds).

Prior to moving to the UAE, Muhannad was a Senior Principal at Investcorp and Senior Investment Advisor at Morgan Stanley in London. He also worked with the Abdul Latif Jameel Group in Jeddah for the first 6 years of his career.

Muhannad graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), with a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and concentrations in creative writing & economics.
