Sallie Jian is a Partner at Alumni Ventures, investing in Series A to pre-IPO enterprise AI and tech startups. With over 15 years of experience across finance and tech, she previously led Diageo’s North America Ventures (managed a $500M portfolio) and launched SAP’s New York ventures arm (50+ startups with over 25% acquired by firms such as Snap, Klarna, and SAP).

Earlier in her career, Sallie worked in Technology Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley and General Atlantic, advising companies like Facebook and LinkedIn on IPOs and M&A, before leading SeedInvest’s venture team through its acquisition to Circle. She has been recognized as a Top NY Fintech Female and Business Insider Female VC Partner. She graduated from UC Berkeley Haas in Business Administration and lives in Brooklyn with her husband and 2 kids.
