Dr. Jing Zhao is currently a Partner at Cathay Capital, where he leads the firm’s investments in the carbon neutrality space, with a focus on energy technologies, industrial innovation, and sustainable development. With a multidisciplinary background that spans academic research, industrial operations, and capital markets, Dr. Zhao is dedicated to enabling the commercialization of emerging technologies, driving the energy transition, and advancing global sustainability.
As a professional investor, Dr. Zhao has received numerous industry recognitions, including being named among China Venture’s “40 Under 40” top investors.
Before joining Cathay Capital, Dr. Zhao accumulated over 15 years of in-depth experience in the global energy and chemical sectors, holding key positions at leading international companies such as TotalEnergies and Arkema.
Dr. Zhao holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from ENSIC (École Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques) in France.
