Maximillian Diez is a General Partner at Twenty Five Ventures, an early-stage investment firm based in San Mateo, California, focused on real estate, financial technology, and companies led by underrepresented founders. He brings over 20 years of experience across venture capital, real estate operations, and private equity, with a track record of scaling technology-enabled brokerages and leading companies through high-growth and acquisition phases.
Mr. Diez currently serves as Vice Chair of the Investment/Endowment Committee and a member of the Board of Trustees at the University of San Francisco, his alma mater. His previous roles include senior leadership positions at Franklin Templeton, ING, Redfin, UpNest, and Movoto. At Movoto, he was instrumental in expanding the firm’s national footprint, guiding the company through a management buyout and subsequent acquisition.
The son of Filipino immigrants, Mr. Diez draws on a personal and professional commitment to economic inclusion. His work has been shaped by firsthand experience in both investment and operational roles, and he continues to advocate for equitable access to capital through his work at Twenty Five Ventures and as an advisor to numerous startups.
