An international businessman, Jacques was born in Belgium, educated in Israel and the U.S., and has held executive positions in Europe and the U.S. Jacques leads USVP’s Israel practice and is an active investor in the Israeli market and in the IT markets in the U.S. Cybersecurity investments include Apono, Cato Networks, Kenna (Cisco), Luminate (Symantec), Medigate (Claroty), Trusteer (IBM), Hunters, Ionix, Securithings and Zerto (HPE). Prior to joining USVP, Jacques was an entrepreneur, CEO of Monterey Design Systems acquired by Synopsys and executive at Epic Design Technology which IPO’d in 1994. Earlier, Jacques had a technical career with positions at IMEC, IBM and STMicroelectronics. Jacques holds a B.Sc. in computer engineering from Technion, and an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Jacques has published The Market Entry Strategy to help guide entrepreneurs through their initial steps in their market. The book is based on the eponymous seminar that has been attended by over 5,000 entrepreneurs.
