Profile
Mark is Co-founder and Managing Director of Bonfire Ventures, a leading, early-stage venture capital firm that invests exclusively in B2B software companies at the seed stage. Bonfire backs extraordinary founders and aspires to serve as their most hands-on and trusted advisors.
For the past two decades, Mark has been making seed investments in tech’s most promising B2B founders with an emphasis on LA’s burgeoning ecosystem. Prior to Bonfire, he founded Double M Partners and Mull Capital, and managed high-growth funds focused on Internet, media, and technology.
For the first 20 years of his career, Mark was a telco, cable and tech M&A investment banker working for entrepreneur Bill Daniels, known as the ‘Father of Cable TV’ in the US. Mark had the unique opportunity to live in Paris, London, NYC, Boulder, SF and LA and worked with uncommonly diverse entrepreneurs from numerous industries and countries. His distinct living and work experiences—as a partner, M&A banker, and investor in deals across 30 countries—sets Mark apart from other VCs. His global perspective, combined with his eagerness to mentor and his commitment to being 100 percent available to the people he invests in, uniquely positions him in the venture capital landscape.
