Andrew Strelka

Andrew Strelka is a partner in Willkie's Tax Department and Chair of the Tax Resolution Practice Group, based in the Firm's Washington, DC office. He is nationally recognized for his work on tax disputes, litigation and investigations. He brings broad experience from both government service and private practice. Andrew began his government career as an advisor at the U.S. Internal Revenue Service and as a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice Tax Division. He also served in a tax advisory role in the Obama White House. Most recently, he served as Senior Tax Counsel in the Biden White House, where he advised on the full range of federal tax issues across the U.S. government. Andrew advises clients across many industries, including global nonprofits, private equity, sports and entertainment, technology and global financial institutions.
