Christian is the innovator of NUMAtech™, co-founder of NUMAFERM and serves as CEO/CSO. He is biological technician, biochemist and biotechnologist by education and studied at the University of Duesseldorf, Germany, and Ann Arbor, USA. He received his PhD in the field of type 1 secretion systems chaired by Prof. Lutz Schmitt (2009-2012) before being group leader in the field of biotechnical peptide production (2012-2017). Christian received several awards for his developments (Deutscher Studienpreis 2013, Innovation Award HHU 2012) and his work at Numaferm (Next Economy Award 2019, Start Me Up Award 2018, Most Innovative European Biotech Award 2017, 40 under 40, Capital). NUMAFERM is a biotech company with a focus in peptide manufacture, is founded in 2015 and VC-backed by well-known investors (Evonik Ventures, HTGF & co-founders of Qiagen).
