Chetan Baweja, Managing Director & Portfolio Manager at BGO leads the recently launched Canadian Value Add business and is based in Toronto. Since joining BGO in 2016, Chetan has held progressively more senior roles servicing BGO’s top institutional clients in both asset & portfolio management with responsibility for developing and executing investment strategies spanning all asset classes including development. Prior to his current role, Chetan oversaw a portfolio of over C$6 billion of gross asset value for a top institutional client.
Prior to BGO, Chetan worked at Cadillac Fairview in strategy and at GE Capital Real Estate in various roles including global M&A.
Chetan is actively involved in the community through NAIOP & Board positions with Toronto Financial District BIA, & George Hull Centre, a children's mental health charity. Chetan is also sits on BGO's Canadian Management Committee and plays a key role in business growth initiatives and talent development.
