Currently serving as the Regional Tax Lead for Africa at Export Trading Group, he is at the forefront of implementing complex international tax reforms and strategies.

His expertise encompasses several key areas: Pillar II Implementation: Actively supporting the group's efforts to comply with OECD guidelines on minimum tax through the implementation of Pillar II regulations.

Tax Strategy and Policy: Leading the development and execution of the group's tax compliance strategy and transfer pricing policies.

Global Tax Controversy: With an impressive track record in dispute resolution, he has successfully negotiated and resolved tax revenue audits across a challenging range of jurisdictions, including Australia, the UK, Mauritius, Kenya, Benin, Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, and Malawi.

Tax Efficiency and Risk Management: Experienced in overseeing the tax structuring of company operations for increased efficiency, developing comprehensive tax risk registers, and leading multi-jurisdictional tax planning initiatives.

Duncan has held key tax leadership roles at major African corporations, including Diageo and Africa Global Logistics. He also has hands-on experience in developing tax-efficient structures for multinational companies during his tenure at KPMG East Africa Limited. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Investment and Financial Analyst (CIFA), and holds a degree in Actuarial Science as well as an MBA from the University of Nairobi, which provides him with a solid foundation in both strategic finance and technical tax expertise.
