Mercy M. Mbithi works for the Kenya Revenue Authority in the International Tax Office. Her core mandate in the Authority includes; International Tax policy formulation and Implementation, conduct of Transfer Pricing Audits, Domestic Tax Law Implementation formulation and Tax compliance enhancement in International tax. Ms. Mbithi’s influence and contribution towards an inclusive Global Tax agenda is evidenced by her active participation in the following capacities in the highlighted tax forums: As Chairperson to the Cross Boarder Taxation (CBT) Technical Committee by The African Tax Administrations Forum (ATAF) and member of the African Tax Research Network (ATRN). She is the Principal Kenyan Delegate to the Task force on taxing the Digital Economy (TFDE) and design work on Amount B in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Further, she is involved in Technical Assistance offered in international Taxation in Tax Administrations in the Sub-Saharan Region.
