Anis Chakravarty is a partner and lead economist with Deloitte‘s transfer pricing practice in India. He brings significant experience in advising companies in the European Union, India and the United States on a number of issues related to economics, finance and transfer pricing.He is currently recognized by Euromoney/Legal Media Group as one of the world's leading transfer pricing advisers.
Anis has been the co-leader of Deloitte’s Global Economists Network leading the intellectual property in transfer pricing group in the Asia Pacific region. He specializes in financial services, BEPS and transfer pricing for intangibles.
He is part of the team leading the BEPS initiative for Deloitte in India involving structuring and transfer pricing planning for both inbound and outbound companies. He has assisted a number of global companies realign and optimize their transfer pricing structure resulting in added synergies.
Anis is involved with the firm’s learning and knowledge development initiatives in India and the Asia Pacific region. He leads the Advanced Transfer Pricing training for Deloitte in the region. Anis is also a guest faculty at IBFD Asia Pacific lecturing on transfer pricing issues of business restructuring and supply chain issues.
Anis is a regularly contributor to the print and electronic media on various macroeconomic issues and trade policies. His technical views have been published in BNA Transfer Pricing Report, Euromoney’s annual Transfer Pricing Review, Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal amongst others. He is a speaker at seminars on topics related to economics, transfer pricing and business and has appeared in various publications.
Prior to joining Deloitte India, Anis was based in Brussels, Belgium, advising European inbound as well as outbound clients on transfer pricing matters.
