Passionate about taxation and fiscal policy, I have built and led efficient, result-driven tax functions in multiple industries (consumer goods, accounging services, infrastructure, telecom, energy and manufacturing). International tax is my specialization with 25 years' experience in EPC contract structuring, cross border tax planning, deal structuring, transfer pricing, tax compliance, US tax accounting, efficient cash repatriation, managing high-pitched tax litigation till Supreme Court level, M&A tax advice, inbound and outbound investment structuring, GST implementation, representation before tax authorities and tax risk management. Advocacy has been a integral part of my career and currently I am a member of the National Committee of Taxation of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII).

Consistently created value for the business through efficient tax structuring and tax compliance. Tax function should not work in silo. I understand the interplay that the tax team should have with other functions like sales, finance, treasury, legal and HR. I have hands on experience in negotiations with tax authorities in various APAC and African countries and have created significant benefits in terms of tax refunds and reduction in tax disputes.

I believe in empowering people. Individuals work best when they can identify themselves with purpose. While seemingly contradictory, delegation and supervision can coexist to produce excellent results. I am only as good as my team.
