Baerbel Melcher is the Head of Tax APAC (incl Greater China) at Infineon, where she leads the regional tax function across Asia Pacific. She is also globally responsible for the implementation and compliance of the OECD BEPS 2.0 Pillar Two rules within the Infineon Group.

Baerbel has more than 25 years of international tax experience spanning industry and consulting. Prior to joining Infineon, she was Associate Director, Tax Technology and Transformation at EY Singapore, advising multinational groups on tax transformation, tax technology, tax governance, and the emerging BEPS 2.0 framework. Earlier in her career, she held senior international tax roles at KPMG in Germany and the UK.

Her expertise includes international tax, transfer pricing, tax reporting, tax transformation, tax governance, and global minimum taxation. She is a frequent speaker on tax and tax transformation topics and currently serves as Chair of the Tax Policy Interest Group of the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce.
