Sharon brings over two decades of experience in senior finance positions to her current role overseeing the Tax, Treasury and Systems functions at the ASX 50 company CAR Group Limited, which is the parent company of carsales.com.au and the operator of market-leading websites in vehicles including cars, motorcycles, boats, caravans, trucks and heavy machinery across the globe. This broad multi-pronged role enables her to use her diverse set of skills to solve commercial problems in a pragmatic manner, driving sustainable growth and operational efficiency, all whilst having a little bit of fun along the way.

Sharon is deeply passionate about continuous learning and personal growth. She believes that reflection and open dialogue have the power to drive personal and organisation development and relies on this philosophy to navigate complex challenges whilst leading with empathy and integrity.

Sharon strongly believes in building up people and raising the profile of tax and finance functions within an organisation, so they can be seen as strategic partner, counsellor and trusted advisor. She has a particular skill in making the boring interesting and the complex easy to understand, and she enjoys using these skills in a variety of public speaking forums to fulfil her passion.

She holds a Masters in Business and is a CPA and Chartered Tax Advisor. Outside of work, she enjoys performing on stage (as a vocalist and musician), brunching (her favourite meal type!) and entertaining loved ones with home cooked meals.
