From April 2009 to May 2014, I provided international tax consulting services in the field of transfer pricing to domestic and foreign global companies of diverse industries at the Advisory Services Global Transactions division in KPMG in Tokyo. I was responsible for leading projects to negotiate the uni/bi/tri-lateral agreement terms with the domestic and foreign tax authorities, to conduct the tax risk assessment for the clients to design strategic transfer pricing policies (profit allocation among the group companies), to prepare the transfer pricing documentation required under regulations, to support the clients during their tax investigation, and conduct transfer pricing due diligence of target companies in the M&A. In 2013, I also experienced to provide local services in the KPMG, LLP at New York office.
From April 2007 to March 2009, I was engaged in arranging the acquisition (LBO) finance composed of senior/subordinated/mezzanine debt for domestic and foreign private equity firms at Leveraged Finance team in the Investment Banking division at J.P. Morgan in Tokyo. As a junior analyst, I was responsible for preparing pitch presentations, cash flow models, term sheets, credit analysis memos, Information Memorandums to contribute to the origination, structuring, pricing, documentation, and syndication.
