Johannes Schimmer is Senior Director Group Transfer Pricing at Adidas Group, the leading European sporting goods company. Prior to joining Adidas in 1980,he graduated in Social Sciences and Economics.His practical experience from various managerial positions at Adidas Group includes Human Resources,Financial Controlling and Licensing and extends also to a number of cross-functional project management functions. Before taking over responsibility for group-wide Transfer Pricing in 2005, he was Head of Global Customs at Adidas Headquarters in Germany (1998 – 2004). At various seminars and congresses in Germany, Holland, Belgium, Italy and UK he has lectured on European finance, international trade and customs as well as on transfer pricing; he also publishes occasionally on direct and indirect tax.
