Andrew is the leader of eBay’s transfer pricing team based in San Jose, California. eBay Inc. is a global commerce leader through its Marketplace platforms which connect millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. eBay’s strategy is to leverage technology to enhance the marketplace experience for its customers, to drive growth in Gross Merchandise Volume, while increasing the rate of revenue growth through our managed payments and advertising initiatives.
eBay’s transfer team are responsible for all aspects of the groups transfer pricing, including planning, documentation and controversy management (audits and APA’s). Prior to joining eBay Andrew was in leadership roles (Managing Director/ Partner) with Deloitte Tax for 20 years (U.S (13 years), Australia (7 years).
During his career Andrew has dealt with numerous taxation authorities around the world including the IRS, the Australian Taxation Office, the Canadian Revenue Agency, National Tax Agency of Japan, Korean Tax Service, Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, the Federal Central Tax Office of Germany, the French Ministry of Finance, the Italian Tax Authority and the South African Revenue Service. Andrew is well versed in the nuances of tax controversy, having concluded many revenue audits and competent authority proceedings. He has also led and been part of teams that successfully completed unilateral and multilateral Advanced Pricing Agreements for U.S. and foreign based multinationals.
