Profile
Binti is a Principal in the Transfer Pricing group of KPMG’s Economic and Valuation Services practice in Los Angeles. Since joining KPMG in 2000, Binti has served some of KPMG’s key FORTUNE 500 clients, including clients in the software, pharmaceutical, automotive, media and entertainment, and consumer products industries both in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Before joining the Transfer Pricing group in Los Angeles in 2004, Binti was an assistant manager in KPMG’s Transfer Pricing group in London. Prior to that, Binti spent three years in KPMG’s London Corporate Tax group where she assisted in planning strategies and compliance for a variety of clients in the technology industry. Binti holds a chartered tax advisor qualification from the UK and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from University College, London.
Professional Experience
nCurrently serves as the “Employer of Choice” partner in the Los Angeles office where she is responsible for overall employee well-being and engagement. nPerformed many successful negotiations with the Internal Revenue Service and Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs and other taxing authorities on a variety of transfer pricing issues including intangible property valuations, cost sharing arrangements as well as management charges. nHas provided technical expertise and knowledge to help to several existing clients automate their transfer pricing models and systems, from feasibility/design through final implementation and hand-off. nExperience with APAs including managing a multilateral APA among the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and France as well as several U.S. / Japan APAs. nDeveloped cost-sharing agreements and tax-planning strategies involving the movement of intangible asset ownership and business risk activities between related parties in various tax jurisdictions. nPerformed value chain analyses to assist with supply-chain restructuring. nLed many global documentation projects that involved coordination with various foreign offices of KPMG, including a significant global documentation project for a FORTUNE 100 client. nPerformed worldwide economic profitability analyses and intangible asset and business risk valuations for various multinational corporations. nPerformed extensive financial and functional analyses of multinational firms’ business operations in both the United States and foreign jurisdictions. nLed a large cross-functional team (30 plus people) during a restatement process covering several years.
